Welcome to the Commission on the Future for Housing in Northern Ireland To enter the site click here What is the Commission? The Commission on the Future for Housing in Northern Ireland has been launched on 8 April 2009 in Belfast to set out a long-term vision for the future role of the housing system in contributing positively to Northern Ireland’s future. Its objectives are:
How will it work? The Commission is intended to be participative. Its outcomes will be informed by contribution from across the housing and other sectors, and social, civic and political life in Northern Ireland. In the early months of the Commission, a call for research will be made, which will inform the development of workstreams. Evidence sessions will be held across each of these workstreams, later in 2009. Dates and venues for these sessions will be published on the website shortly. The site is a first point of contact for Commission contributors, housing professionals, policy makers and all those interested in its work. It is an interactive way of engaging with Commission members, and with individuals and organisations across the housing sector.
